Critical Thinking Definition:

Critical thinking is a process that carefully evaluates ideas and examines information based on real evidence to make well-informed decisions. This term supports the individual’s to depend on logical thinking rather than emotional thinking, as logical thinking enables people to analyze the required knowledge. Moreover, critical thinking is a significant skill as it helps students enhance their mindset, conduct research, analyze complex situations, improve their innovation skills, and make informed choices. In addition, critical thinking helps people develop their learning and thinking processes across various fields.

The compare and contrast two argumentative essay assignment was made for the critical thinking and problem-solving course. I am going to evaluate my work and skills using critical thinking indicators of success.  In critical thinking indicator 2: Develops and reasonably defends arguments, positions, and decisions. I  consider myself to be at an advanced level. 

This assignment is called an argumentative essay, as it helped me to use my critical thinking skills to understand the purpose of this essay.  I analyzed the author’s point of view on this assignment, and I learned from their experiences and their studies. The process of critical thinking on this assignment helped me to make well-informed decisions before taking any action. Moreover, the compare and contrast essay assignment helped me to learn the critical thinking principles that involve logic, accuracy, and clarity.  I gathered different ideas on this assignment to identify how social media supports individuals and allows them to make money. It was explained to me in the critical thinking session how to expand my information by testing different ideas.  Critical thinking competency was utilized on this assignment to determine the consequences of social media for teenagers.  Also, I was thrilled about  this essay assignment because I  learned how to recognize on the benefits and the drawbacks of any topic. I thought that the idea of the compare and contrast essay assignment should  be written separately to support the reader in understanding the core idea of the assignment. I checked the guidelines for this assignment, and I learned that the author should firstly write the ideas of the two essays separately; after that, he should explain the link between the two essays for the readers.  It is important to understand how to write anargumentative essay to develop your critical thinking skills.

Reflection on Asking an Effective Questions Assignment

Asking an  effective questions assignment was created for the critical thinking and problem-solving course. I am going to evaluate my work and skills using critical thinking competency indicators of success. In critical thinking indicator 4: Executes plans and evaluates results effectively. I consider myself at an advanced level.

Asking for an effective question  encouraged me to manage my questions and answers properly. This assignment was mattered for me as I learned how to explore different ideas based on asking the right questions. Furthermore, I learned from this assignment how critical thinkers and logical thinkers ask individuals different questions. My performance on the critical thinking assignment motivated me to collect the data that I will use in my assignment to accomplish the essential goal. The critical thinking course taught me to ask effective questions before drawing a reasoned conclusion. Also, I  go  through the overview of this assignment to realize the 6 elements of the questions, which are closed, open, finding facts, and others. I deeply understand how scientists can fix unclear information and test the ideas that weren’t explained clearly. In addition, I described in my essay to the professor that the people who ask questions should organize a questionnaire test to support their answers with real-life examples. From this assignment I illustrated the critical thinking dimensions as they are important for understanding the meaning of the passage and breaking down the big information into smaller parts. In asking effective questions, I believe that scientists depend on memorizing the questions. Before submitting the assignment of asking effective questions,I learned that scientists most of the time use their critical thinking skills to evaluate and examine their information. Asking questions allows the students and the teachers to promote their active learning and to analyses the needed data for their studies.
